The period after aesthetic surgery is at least as important as the preoperative and surgical process. First of all, it is necessary to act very consciously in order to prevent possible complications related to the general health status and to recognize and treat a complication in time. At this stage, it is vital to follow your doctor’s recommendations seriously and to communicate with him/her. It can often be observed that some patients do not pay enough attention to their doctor’s recommendations after surgery and push the limits for different reasons and develop complications due to this. In the postoperative period, even if the patient feels very well and does not feel any pain, he/she should follow the recommendations to the letter. After being discharged from the hospital, precautions against the risk of coronavirus (Covid-19) disease transmission should be strictly followed. In order to reduce the risk of transmission, you should prefer private vehicles instead of public transportation to reach the place where you will stay. In the postoperative period, you and your companion should be in social isolation for at least 7 days and should not accept visitors. You should be sensitive to the symptoms of coronavirus disease and possible complications of the surgery and inform your doctor immediately in any abnormal situation. Mild weakness, fever, pain and swelling may occur after surgery. Do not panic and remain calm. PRIORITY: Fever above 38.5 C Breathing difficulties Cough Severe pain in the surgical field Widespread muscle aches Excessive amount of light red fresh blood coming from the surgical field Development of excessive swelling and redness at the surgical site Extreme weakness Blurred state of consciousness and excessive sleepiness, or if you feel something is not right, the doctor who performed the surgery should be informed immediately, regardless of the time of day. If the doctor cannot be reached for any reason, you should go to the emergency room of the hospital where the operation was performed or the nearest hospital.
